A good physical condition and a healthy baseline should be prerequisites before embarking on any motorcycle trip. However, no matter how fit you are, there is always a chance you could fall ill during your trip for any reason. If this happens in places with language barriers or supply issues, it’s wise to carry your own basic medical supplies. Some medications may be new, and the need for them depends on the regions you visit. It’s important to assess your needs for each trip and possibly consult your doctor.
Additionally, everyone should be aware of their own physical limits and vulnerabilities. These should be considered individually when planning your trip.
Please note that I am not a doctor, and my list may not be comprehensive. I aim to provide an overview of the items I’ve found useful during my travels.
Health and medication
Vaccinations: should be discussed and planned with your family doctor long enough in advance of the trip. Think about it early enough, because there are also vaccinations that require multiple treatments and thus a longer period of time until they are fully effective. For further advice and information, I recommend contacting the Tropical Institute. here

A complete first aid kit should always be found under the seat of every motorcyclist. This time, check for completeness and expired funds before you set off. There is always space for an additional set of plasters and a good disinfectant
